Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and LetServe LLC (“LetServe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the LetServe mobile application, website and related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/18670236. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a school, business, nonprofit or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, “you” also refers to that organization.

If your organization has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

2. The Service

LetServe is a service-learning and volunteer management platform. It lets:

  • Volunteers (including students and employees) find opportunities, sign up for events, log volunteer hours and keep a service record.
  • Organizations (schools, districts and businesses) manage volunteer programs, approve hours and report on community impact.
  • Agencies (charities and nonprofits) list themselves in the directory, post events and verify volunteer participation.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee that any feature, agency or opportunity will remain available.

3. Eligibility and Minors

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on your own.

Users under 18. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, or through a school or organization that has authorized your use. Your parent or guardian should review these Terms with you.

Users under 13. Users under 13 may use the Service only through an account provided by their school or organization. That school or organization is responsible for obtaining any required parental consent, as permitted under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 outside of this arrangement. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Schools and organizations. If you provide accounts to students, you are responsible for obtaining any consents required by law, including under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and for supervising how your users use the Service.

4. Accounts and Security

You must give accurate, current information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Notify us at support@letserve.com right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Organization and agency administrators can view, approve, edit or remove information submitted by the volunteers connected to them. By joining an organization or agency in the app, you agree that its administrators may see your profile, logged hours and related records.

You may not share accounts, create accounts for others without authorization, or impersonate any person or organization.

5. Volunteer Hours and Records

You must log only hours you actually served, honestly and accurately. Submitting false hours, forged verifications or misleading records is a violation of these Terms and may be reported to your organization.

LetServe is a recording tool. Your school, employer or agency decides whether to approve hours and whether they count toward any requirement, award, scholarship or graduation credit. We do not guarantee that any hours, certificates or service records will be accepted by any third party.

We are not responsible for errors in records entered or approved by users, organizations or agencies. If you see an error, contact the organization or agency that approved it.

6. Your Content

“User Content” means anything you submit to the Service, such as profile details, hour logs, reflections, event listings, photos and messages. You keep ownership of your User Content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and process your User Content only as needed to operate, improve and provide the Service. This includes sharing it with the organizations and agencies you connect with. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in backups or as required by law, or where the content has already been shared with an organization as part of its records.

You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to submit it.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Break any law or violate anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
  2. Post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise inappropriate, particularly given that minors use the Service.
  3. Contact, solicit or seek personal information from minors for any purpose unrelated to a legitimate volunteer activity.
  4. Post fake agencies, events or volunteer opportunities, or use the Service for spam, fundraising scams or commercial advertising.
  5. Upload viruses or malicious code, or try to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorized to access.
  6. Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, except as the law expressly permits.
  7. Interfere with or overload the Service.

We may review, remove or restrict any content or account that we believe violates these Terms, without notice. We have no obligation to monitor content, but we may do so.

8. Agencies, Events and Volunteer Safety

Agencies and organizations are independent of LetServe. They, not we, are responsible for their listings, events, supervision, screening of volunteers and the conditions at volunteer sites. We do not employ, endorse, vet or guarantee any agency, organization, event or volunteer.

Volunteering may involve physical activity, travel and contact with people you do not know. You participate at your own risk. Use good judgment, follow the agency’s safety rules, and if you are a minor, get permission from a parent or guardian before attending. Any waiver or agreement an agency asks you to sign is between you and that agency.

LetServe is not a party to any relationship between volunteers, organizations and agencies. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injuries, losses or disputes arising from volunteer activities.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, maps, calendars or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy at https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/18670236 explains how we collect, use and share personal information, including information about students. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy. For schools, we process student information on the school’s behalf and under its direction, as described in our Privacy Policy and any data agreement with the school.

11. Notifications

The app may send push notifications, emails or in-app messages about events, approvals and account activity. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings. We may still send messages needed to operate your account, such as security and policy notices.

12. Fees

The LetServe app is free for individual volunteers to download and use. Organizations may pay for subscriptions or premium features under a separate order or agreement. If we introduce paid features in the app, we will show the price before you buy, and any purchase made through Google Play is also subject to Google Play’s payment terms and refund policies.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, logos and the LetServe name, is owned by LetServe LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

14. Google Play

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, you also agree to Google Play’s Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and LetServe LLC only, not Google. Google has no responsibility for the app, its content, maintenance, support or any claims relating to it.

15. Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using the Service and delete your account by emailing support@letserve.com. Deleting your account removes your personal profile. Hour records already submitted to an organization may be kept by that organization as part of its own records.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your organization ends its use of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6, 8, 13, 16 through 19, and 21.

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL BE PRESERVED WITHOUT LOSS.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LETSERVE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify LetServe LLC against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. If you are a minor, this section applies only to the extent permitted by law.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@letserve.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 15 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

21. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any separate organization agreement, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
