Bladder Cancer is the 6th most commonly diagnosed cancer but much less well known than other cancers. The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (bcan.org) works (1) to raise awareness about bladder cancer, its causes, symptoms and treatments (2) to raise money for and promote research to eventually end bladder cancer (3) to support patients and caregivers as they journey through this cancer. Description of Volunteer Opportunity: Help us with our annual Walk to End Bladder Cancer. We need volunteers to help set up and take down equipment and supplies for our annual Walk to End Bladder Cancer on a spring day in a beautiful park in Chapel Hill. You would help blow up balloons, set up tables, audio equipment (for music), posters, water, and snacks. And then take down stuff at the end. You might help register participants or give out t-shirts or hold a poster of bladder cancer information or hand out water along the route of the walk. Come make a difference to end bladder cancer!
