Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina is the only organization focusing on the prevention and building capacity at the local level to prevent child abuse and neglect. Some of the ways in which we are doing this is: - Building capacity locally for agencies to implement proven parenting and family strengthening programs. - Working in communities across the state to build skills, policies and infrastructure using the protective factors as a framework so all families have access to the resources and skills they need to help their children thrive. - Convening conversations around the role we all play in children’s healthy development and mobilize communities to build Community Child Abuse Prevention Plans.
