The Church Youth group of The Chapel of the Cross went to Asheville to reach out to the community and help the city in many ways. On this week long mission trip, we passed out first aid kits, snacks, and water to homeless people in need. We also washed and cleaned cars for Working Wheels, a nonprofit that donates used cars to families in need. Additionally, we worked at the 12 Baskets Cafe, a local nonprofit organization, that takes donations of food and serves it to people in need. We served people, did dishes, and organized food donations. This was a great opprutunity to serve people, but to also make connections with people around the community.
