This is an opportunity for volunteers interested in STEM, computer science and/or medical research to volunteer to learn about imaging research in a laboratory at the Department of Radiology at Duke University Medical Center.
This research mentorship is designed to provide volunteers who undergo appropriate training with experience with the activities that go into producing scientific papers in Radiology: bibliographic work, image / data processing, statistical analysis, keeping a record of research activities, and drafting a scientific paper. A current research project will be used as an example. The volunteer will perform this work remotely (off site). The volunteer will only see anonymized and/or publicly available data. The volunteer will have no patient contact.
