Wayne County Public Schools Summer Reading Program
Description
Wayne County’s Summer Reading Program is designed for students that did not meet the grade level reading proficiency for the state during the regular school year. Students meet four days a week for three weeks of intense reading interventions to prevent the summer slide and prepare them for the upcoming school year.
Volunteer Activities
Volunteer will be working with struggling readers in small group settings; working on fluency, syllabication, phonics, and comprehension.
