We are a community orchestra of adult musicians. We play symphonic classical music and provide four free concerts per year for the community. The majority of these concerts take place on UNC campus in Hill Hall. We need help during concerts doing activities like setting up chairs, taking them down, ushering, and sometimes setting up a reception. These concerts are typically in October, December, February or March, and May. For the 2019-20 season, our concert dates are October 19 3pm; December 15 7:30pm; March 8 time TBD; May 3 7:30pm. We will need volunteers to show up about 45 minutes before the concert, and stay after the concert to help clean up. The concert is usually around 1.5 hours, so each concert will provide about 3 service hours. We highly encourage students to volunteer for multiple concerts so they can learn the routine. It is also extremely important that students who sign up follow through and show up.
