Champion House Of Care Project One Inc. (CHOC) started in 2019 with the goal is to touch and change the lives of kids living in transition housing and homeless. Our founder and executive director Janette Kinard, noticed parents needed support outside of school and a place for their adult children to learn. The reality is there are not many places that focus on the entire family. CHOC wants their clients (called champions) and their families to succeed. Society has made people believe individuals with special needs cannot assist in society. Started a non-profit that helped them give food and clothes to the homeless, support one another, and interact with the community. Our Slogan says it all; we challenge not only our champions, but also society. We hope to see Champion House of Care advocates to dispel this myth. Our Champions and Partners are very active in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas making sure we are giving back to the community. Lastly, when this is accomplished, we are all winners!
