Out of the Garden Project
Description
We are a food assistance program for families primarily in Guilford County. We supply a bag of food through Operation Backpack for a family of four (6-7 lbs) each Friday at schools throughout Guilford County, one school in Forsyth County, and one school in Alamance County. We reach more than 2,000 families each week.
Volunteer Activities
Volunteer activities include: Bread packing at the warehouse, sorting and packing at the warehouse, assisting in our Fresh Mobile Markets as well as assisting in our Urban Teaching Farm.
