Aid First is a non-profit organization that provides first-aid kits and health supplies to homeless shelters, small businesses, and low-income clinics. Consulting with shelters like The Relatives and the Ronald McDonald House, we identified what health items they needed and donated them. To increase local impact, we facilitated a partnership with Greater Charlotte Area Mutual Aid (GCAMA), which allowed us to collaborate with city government officials to increase local outreach. In addition to our partnership with GCAMA, we’ve worked on public health initiatives (such as PPE donations to local businesses) with organizations like the Charlotte Small Businesses Coalition. With over 12,500 items donated and 9 professional partnerships, we are excited to ignite change in the community. Our 2022 goal is to reach a total of 20,000 donated items and increase outreach to 10 more shelters statewide.
