The Village Band
Description
The Village Band of Chapel Hill/Carrboro is a non-profit community concert band committed to promoting music in the lives of all we meet thrroughout Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and nearby communities at such venues as the Carrboro Town Center, University Mall, Southern Village, and retirement communities such as Carolina Meadows and Carol Woods. The members of the Village Band are dedicated to bringing quality performances of a broad range of music from July 4th celebrations to holiday celebrations and more.
Volunteer Activities
Specific volunteer high school musicians may be needed on occasion, but will need approval from their band director and will need to commit to concerts and commensurate rehearsals. If the student is already required to participate in a volunteer ensemble due to an honors requirement, volunteer credit will not be available. On occasion, students familiar with coding may be needed for web-based work.
