The Ella Baker Women's Center is a non-profit organization committed to serving disenfranchised communities, with a central focus on women and girls’ empowerment and agency. We help build productive and equitable relationships with the institutions in the lives of residents in vulnerable communities, create opportunities for leadership development, and offer community organizing training for residents to work for social justice in their own communities and beyond. Striving Sisters Speak!!! (S3!) is the flagship project of the Ella Baker Women’s Center for Leadership and Community Activism. Participants in S3! develop leadership skills by planning and implementing projects that serve their community.
