The Towne Players

The Towne Players was formed in 1998 as a means of increasing the awareness of the performing arts in Garner and Wake County. Run by a governing board made up of citizens from the Garner, North Carolina and greater Triangle area, the Towne Players produce three or four theatrical plays each year and offer theatre classes for children. As a community theatre, we depend upon many people who enjoy the beauty and sense of community that an organization can bring. Our Townies are the wonderful group of people that volunteer their time to help make theatre magic happen here in Garner. Although the actors are also volunteers, they could never do what they do onstage without all the people “behind the scenes”. There are many areas of opportunity that need your help and support. Come find your niche right where you belong – as a Townie! When you volunteer, you receive free admission to stay and watch any one performance as our “Thank You” for your service.
