Ayden Christian Care Center
Description
ACCC is a nonprofit 501c food pantry. This agency serves the Ayden and Grifton communities by assisting in food distributions to mainly senior citizens and people who receive SSI and/or Food Stamps. The Food Bank of Eastern N.C provides most of the food for distribution along with partnerships with Food Lion and Aldi. Clients are eligible to receive food once a month.
Volunteer Activities
Volunteers prepare food for distribution on each Friday of the month from 9:30 -11:30. They can volunteer on Tuesday & Thursday after receiving food from the Food Bank and grocery stores to prepare the bags for distribution . Volunteers also assist taking the food to the cars, delivering to shut ins once a month, computer assistance for record keeping, taking applications for help, etc.
