NC Cooperative Extension - Bladen County Center/Bladen County 4-H
Description

Bladen County 4-H is part of the nation's leading youth development program that is coordinated through the Cooperative Extension Program, so we are technically a government program funded through state and county programs. For more than 100 years, 4-H has fostered learning by doing with youth ages 5 to 18 years old as they follow the organization's motto "to make the best better" in the areas of citizenship, leadership, agriculture, health, nutrition, life skills, and STEM. 4-H programs consists of community workshops, clubs, camps, and school enrichment. The beauty of 4-H is its opportunity for volunteers. 4-H provides a vehicle for volunteers - teens and adults - to work with youth in a positive learning environment. Because of its unique relationship with NC Cooperative Extension, our 4-H program enjoys a close relationship with the 2 land grant universities in North Carolina - NC STATE UNIVERSITY and NC A&T State University

Volunteer Activities
Volunteers are needed to help at STEM and Health related workshops throughout our county and schools during the school year and especially in the summer. Volunteers will help lead workshop activities, assist individual and groups of youth ages 5 to 18 as they complete projects, prepare materials for workshops, and provide special assistance to the program coordinators as needed.
