WPC is a Presbyterian church that heavily focuses on service and mission work through the Durham community and other locations worldwide. The youth group at the church participate in regular service activities, many of them in the summer but also throughout the year. This service work includes but is not limited to serving at the following organizations in Durham, Urban Ministries, Families Moving Forward, Threshold, Habitat for Humanity, etc. Usually, the youth participate in a weeklong service trip in the summer.
