YMCA Camp Cheerio’s Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is a volunteer leadership training program for rising 11th graders. In this program, the CITs spend three to four weeks helping lead a cabin of 10-14 campers, assisting several activity classes, attending a leadership development class, and working on various tasks around Camp to ensure our facilities and programs continue to operate smoothly. Being a CIT is an unpaid position that requires a lot of work to give back to the children who attend each session and to Camp itself.
